ABOUT ME

I am an experienced teacher and can offer tuition in many different styles. I tailor my teaching method to the individual, and encourage improvisation at all levels.

 

I am strong believer that music is an aural art. Theory, sight-reading, scales are all taught, but never at the expense of making music. They are the tools which help us to be better storytellers, better musicians, but making music is the driving focus of my lessons.

I now offer Suzuki training. This teaching system has benefits for all ages, but is a wonderful method for children aged 3+. It is an excellent grounding and enables musical playing, with an emphasis on an easy flowing technique and active listening. I recommend it for all ages and abilities and it inherently musical approach creates well rounded, sensitive humans.
